The Saudi Pro League officially announced the list of nominees for the best awards in the 2025-2026 season, in a move that reflects the extent of the strong competition witnessed by the tournament this season between the most prominent stars and coaches.
The league revealed that the awards include four main categories, including the best player, the best coach, and the best Saudi player, in addition to the award for the best promising player, amid widespread public anticipation to know the winners as the curtain comes down on the season.
It explained that the voting mechanism depends on participation Several parties, where votes are distributed among club coaches, team leaders, and media professionals, in addition to the fans, with the aim of ensuring that the names with the most artistic influence during the season are selected.
According to the approved system, coaches receive 40% of the voting percentage, compared to 40% for team leaders, and 15% for media professionals, while only 5% is allocated to the fans.
The association confirmed that this distribution comes within its keenness to achieve a balance between technical opinion and public interaction, in a way that ensures Awarding prizes to the most deserving ones based on performance throughout the season.
Voting is scheduled to continue until May 19, with the names of the winners being officially revealed on May 22, following the end of the final round of the Saudi Roshen League.
The list of nominees witnessed the presence of a number of the league’s most prominent stars, as the Best Player category included Ivan Toney, Julian Quiñones, Ruben Neves, and Cristiano Ronaldo, in addition to João Félix.
As for the Best Coach award, there is a strong competition between Jorge Jesus, Matthias Jaissle, Brendan Rodgers, and Simone Inzaghi, in addition to Saad Al-Shehri.
In the Best Saudi Player category, the names of Salem Al-Dawsari, Khalid Al-Ghannam, Musab Al-Juwayr, and Abdulelah emerged. Al-Amri, and Hattan Bahebri.
