Aston Villa reached an agreement with the Italian club Parma, in order to sign Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, during the current summer transfer period, in a new step to strengthen the goalkeeping position.
According to reliable journalist David Ornstein, the agreement between the two clubs includes Parma receiving 30 million euros as the basic value of the deal, in addition to additional incentives and bonuses that may raise the total financial compensation to 35 million euros.
He is expected to sign. Suzuki, who is 23 years old, has signed a contract with Aston Villa for five seasons, to continue with the English club until the summer of 2031.
The Japanese goalkeeper had informed the Parma management of his desire to move to Aston Villa, after he identified the English club as his preferred destination during the current summer Mercato, which contributed to pushing the negotiations towards a resolution.
